  1. No purchase is necessary. Sweepstakes is sponsored by North Jersey Media Group Inc., publisher of The Record. Sweepstakes is a random drawing to attend the Jets Flag Football event at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ on Monday, November 16, 2009 from 5 – 9pm. Sweepstakes runs October 18, 2009 – October 27, 2009. Sweepstakes is open to all U.S. residents, ages 13 and older, except officers, directors, and employees of North Jersey Media Group Inc., NJSEA, Meadowlands Sports Complex, New York Jets LLC, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and agencies, and immediate family members and/or persons living in the same household as any of the foregoing persons, and any individual that has accepted a prize under any North Jersey Media Group sponsored sweepstakes within the last thirty (30) days.
  2. Entry forms for the sweepstakes will appear in The Record from October 18 – 25, 2009. Entry forms are also available at the visitors lobby of The Record, 1 Garret Mountain Plaza, Woodland Park, NJ from 8:30am – 5pm (Monday – Friday) during the sweepstakes period. To enter, complete the official entry form. All entries must be postmarked by October 27, 2009. Enter as many times as you like; however, limit of one entry form per envelope. Mail the entry form to: Jets Flag Football, 1 Garret Mountain Plaza, P.O. Box 471, Woodland Park, NJ 07424. You may also enter online at http://www.northjersey.com/flagfootball. All online entries must be submitted by October 27, 2009 at 11:59 pm EST.
  3. Only fully completed official entry forms postmarked by the date set forth above will be eligible. No photocopies or facsimiles permitted. North Jersey Media Group Inc., NJSEA, Meadowlands Sports Complex, New York Jets LLC, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, and the officers, directors, employees, owners, and agents of each of the foregoing entities are not responsible for lost, stolen, ineligible, late, damaged, incorrect, incomplete, illegible, misdirected or postage-due entries or any online entries that are lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, erroneous, defective or inaccurate, unavailable network connections, failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions, online failures, hardware, software, or other technical malfunctions or disturbances or other communications failures or circumstances affecting receipt of entries or entrants' ability to participate in the Sweepstakes. All entries become the exclusive property of North Jersey Media Group Inc. and will not be returned. If you have any questions, call 1-888-829-2595.
  4. Ten (10) winners as detailed in paragraph 5 below will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received, in a drawing by North Jersey Media Group Inc., the publisher of The Record, whose decisions on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes are final. The winners will be randomly selected on October 30, 2009 on or about 12 noon EST. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
  5. Ten (10) winners will be selected to each win access to the Jets Flag Football event at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ on November 16, 2009 from 5 – 9pm. Each winner is permitted to bring one (1) guest. This guest must be at least 13 years of age. The event will include the following: a. No less than one (1) former New York Jets players, who will each provide, including but not limited to and by way of example, the following: instruction to the participants of the Stadium Flag Football Event, a “meet and greet” with the participants of the Stadium Flag Football Event, and a photo and/or autograph session b. Access to the New York Jets home locker room at the Stadium c. Access to the Stadium field (or air-inflated indoor practice facility, if weather does not permit use of the Stadium field) for a welcome introduction d. Access to the Stadium field (or air inflated indoor practice facility, if weather does not permit use of the Stadium field) to participate and conduct the Stadium Flag Football Event e. A “post-event” reception at the Stadium. All food and beverage costs shall be the sole responsibility of the New York Jets. Value of the reception per person is $50.
  6. All prizes will be awarded. Only one prize is allowed per household. Any individual that has accepted a prize under any other North Jersey Media Group sponsored sweepstakes within the last thirty (30) days is not eligible. In the event such a person’s entry is drawn, an alternate winner will be selected by random drawing. Judge’s decisions on all matters of the sweepstakes are final and binding.
  7. Winners will be notified by phone on October 30, 2009 immediately after the random drawing. Winners have until November 3, 2009 at 12pm to confirm intention to accept the prize. If the prize is not claimed by that time, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be chosen. Each winner must supply valid I.D., and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability & Publicity Release (“Affidavit”) prior to receiving a prize. If a winner fails to provide I.D., fails to sign affidavit, or if prize notification is not responded to, that entry will be void and an alternate winner will be randomly drawn.
  8. Prizes are non-transferable. Cash redemption, exchange, or substitution is not allowed, except at the sole discretion of North Jersey Media Group Inc. North Jersey Media Group Inc. reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Taxes and/or fees are the sole responsibility of the winners. Transportation to/from event is sole responsibility of the winners.
  9. Entry constitutes agreement to hold NJMG NJSEA, Meadowlands Sports Complex, and New York Jets LLC, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and the officers, directors, employees, owners, and agents of each of the foregoing entities, harmless from and against any and all damages, liability, losses, and expenses arising out of, or claimed to be arising out of, this Sweepstakes, or acceptance or use of the prize(s).
  10. North Jersey Media Group Inc. reserves the right to terminate, modify, or otherwise change this sweepstakes, at its sole discretion, should it determine that its fairness has been compromised. Any tampering with the online entry method in any manner is prohibited. North Jersey Media Group reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine whether the online entry method has been compromised. North Jersey Media Group reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who the sponsor suspects or has found, in its sole discretion, to have tampered with the Sweepstakes or submitted entries using any automated means. In the event North Jersey Media Group determines the online entry service has been misused, the Sweepstakes will end. If North Jersey Media Group determines, in its sole discretion, that technical difficulties or unforeseen events outside North Jersey Media Group’s control compromise the integrity or viability of the Sweepstakes, North Jersey Media Group reserves the right to void the entries at issue and/or terminate the Sweepstakes. North Jersey Media Group’s decisions on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes are final.
  11. Sweepstakes subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where taxed, restricted, or prohibited by law.
  12. By claiming a prize, winners consent to The Record’s publication of their names, likeness, hometown, and prize allocation in the paper. For a list of prize winners, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: The Record, 1 Garret Mountain Plaza, PO Box 471, Woodland Park, NJ 07424. Requests must be received by May 31, 2010.
  13. Entry constitutes agreement to be bound by all of the foregoing rules and terms, and also constitutes permission to use the winner’s name and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes, without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
