Official Rules
 
  1. No purchase is necessary. Sweepstakes is sponsored by North Jersey Media Group Inc., publisher of The Record. Sweepstakes is a random drawing to win a pair of tickets to one of two Jets pre-season games at New Meadowlands Stadium. Sweepstakes runs Thursday, August 4, 2011 until Thursday, August 11, 2011. Sweepstakes is open to all U.S. residents, ages 13 and older, except officers, directors, and employees of North Jersey Media Group Inc., New York Jets LLC, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and agencies, and immediate family members and/or persons living in the same household as any of the foregoing persons, and any individual that that has accepted a prize under any other North Jersey Media Group sponsored Sweepstakes within the last 30 days.
  2. The sweepstakes will be executed by an e-mail blast sent to previous Jets sweepstakes entrants who are also subscribers to The Record. E-mail blast will direct readers to the sweepstakes URL: http://www.northjersey.com/preseason. To enter, complete and submit the online entry form. No facsimile or photocopies accepted. All submissions must be received by 11:59 p.m. on August 11, 2011 to be eligible for drawing. Online entries only; no hardcopies accepted.
  3. North Jersey Media Group Inc., New York Jets LLC, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and the officers, directors, employees, owners, and agents of each of the foregoing entities are not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, erroneous, defective or inaccurate entries, unavailable network connections, failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions, online failures, hardware, software, or other technical malfunctions or disturbances or other communications failures or circumstances affecting receipt of entries or entrants' ability to participate in the Sweepstakes. All submissions become the exclusive property of North Jersey Media Group Inc. and will not be returned. If you have any questions, call 1-888-829-2595.
  4. Four (4) winners, as detailed in paragraph 5 below, will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received, in a drawing by North Jersey Media Group Inc., whose decisions on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes are final. The winners will be randomly selected on Friday, August 12, 2011 on or about 12 noon EST. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. If a dispute arises regarding the identity of the entrant, the entrant will be deemed to be the natural holder of the e-mail account identified on the online entry form.
  5. Each winner will receive two (2) tickets to one of the following Jets pre-season home games, which will be held at New Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. Winners must provide his or her transportation to and from the game. The individual games are as follows: • Sunday, August 21 vs. Bengals • Thursday, September 1 vs. Eagles Approximate retail value: $120 per pair. Winners will not have a choice of which game they will attend. North Jersey Media Group will make such determination.
  6. All prizes will be awarded. Only one prize is allowed per household. In the event that one household or person’s entry is drawn more than one time, an alternate winner will be selected by random drawing. Any individual that has accepted a prize under any other North Jersey Media Group sponsored Sweepstakes within the last 30 days is not eligible. In the event such a person’s entry is drawn, an alternate winner will be selected by random drawing. Judge’s decisions on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes are final and binding.
  7. Winners will be notified by phone on Friday, August 12, 2011 immediately after the random drawing. Winners have until Monday, August 15, 2011 at 3pm to confirm intention to accept the prize. If the prize is not claimed by that time, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be chosen. Due to time constraints, tickets must be picked up at The Record's offices at 1 Garret Mountain Plaza, Woodland Park, NJ 07424. Each winner, or the parent and/or legal guardian of the winner if under 18 years of age, must supply valid I.D., and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability & Publicity Release (“Affidavit”) prior to receiving a prize. If a winner fails to provide I.D., fails to sign affidavit, or if prize notification is not responded to, that entry will be void and an alternate winner will be randomly drawn. In the interest of time, prizewinners may present their I.D. and sign the affidavit at The Record, 1 Garret Mountain Plaza, Woodland Park, NJ 07424.
  8. Prizes are non-transferable. Cash redemption, exchange, or substitution is not allowed, except at the sole discretion of North Jersey Media Group Inc. North Jersey Media Group reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Taxes and/or fees are the sole responsibility of winners.
  9. By claiming a prize, winners consent to publication of their names and hometowns, online and in paper. For a list of all prizewinners, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Jets 2011 Preseason Winners, c/o Marketing Department, 1 Garret Mountain Plaza, P.O. Box 471, Woodland Park, NJ 07424. Requests must be received by February 29, 2011.
  10. Entry constitutes agreement to hold North Jersey Media Group Inc., New York Jets LLC, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and the officers, directors, employees, owners, and agents of each of the foregoing entities, harmless from and against any and all damages, liability, losses, and expenses arising out, or claimed to be arising out of, this Sweepstakes or acceptance or use of the prize(s).
  11. North Jersey Media Group Inc. reserves the right to terminate, modify, or otherwise change this Sweepstakes, at its sole discretion, should it determine that its fairness has been compromised. North Jersey Media Group Inc.’s decisions on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes are final. Any tampering with the online Sweepstakes in any manner is prohibited. NJMG reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine whether the online Sweepstakes has been compromised. NJMG reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who the sponsor suspects or has found, in its sole discretion, to have tampered with the Sweepstakes, submitted multiple entries or submitted entries using any automated means. In the event NJMG determines the online entry service has been misused, the Sweepstakes will end. If NJMG determines, in its sole discretion, that technical difficulties or unforeseen events outside NJMG’s control compromise the integrity or viability of the Sweepstakes, NJMG reserves the right to void the entries at issue and/or terminate the relevant portion of the Sweepstakes.
  12. Sweepstakes subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where taxed, restricted, or prohibited by law.
  13. Entry constitutes agreement to be bound by all of the foregoing rules and terms, and also constitutes permission to use the winner’s name and hometown for advertising and promotional purposes, without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
