Official Rules
 
  1. No purchase is necessary. Sweepstakes is sponsored by North Jersey Media Group Inc. (NJMG), publisher of The Record. Sweepstakes is a random drawing to win one of 31 gift cards to local retailers. All gift cards are $25. Sweepstakes runs September 26, 2011 – October 26, 2011. Sweepstakes is open to all U.S. residents, ages 13 and over except officers, directors and employees of North Jersey Media Group Inc., and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and agencies, and the immediate family members and/or persons living in the same household as any of the foregoing persons, and any individual who has accepted a prize under any other NJMG sponsored sweepstakes within the last thirty (30) days.
  2. Entry forms will appear in The Record throughout the sweepstakes period. To enter, complete and submit the official entry form, which must be postmarked by October 26, 2011. Mail entry form to: Card Grab Bag, 1 Garret Mountain Plaza, P.O. Box 471, Woodland Park, NJ 07424. You may also enter online at http://www.northjersey.com/grabbagl. All online entries must be submitted by October 26, 2011 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Enter as many times as you would like.
  3. Only fully completed mailed-in official entry forms postmarked by October 26, 2011, and online entry forms received by 11:59 p.m. on October 26, 2011, will be eligible. No photocopies or facsimiles permitted. North Jersey Media Group Inc., and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and the officers, directors, employees, owners, and agents of each of the foregoing entities are not responsible for lost, stolen, ineligible, late, damaged, incorrect, incomplete, illegible, misdirected or postage-due entries, unavailable network connections, failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions, online failures, hardware, software, or other technical malfunctions or disturbances or other communications failures or circumstances affecting receipt of entries or entrants' ability to participate in the Gift Card Grab Bag Sweepstakes. All entries become the exclusive property of North Jersey Media Group Inc. and will not be returned. If you have any questions, call 1-888-829-2595.
  4. Thirty-one (31) winners, as detailed in paragraph 5 below, will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received, in a drawing by North Jersey Media Group Inc., whose decisions on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes are final. A winner will be randomly selected each day in October. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
  5. Thirty-one (31) prize-winners will receive a $25.00 gift card to a local retailer. Retailers to be determined by North Jersey Media Group in its sole discretion.
  6. All prizes will be awarded. Only one prize is allowed per household. Prize\ awarded to minors will be delivered only to the minor’s parent or legal guardian. Any individual who has accepted a prize under any other North Jersey Media Group sponsored sweepstakes within the last thirty (30) days is not eligible. In the event such a person’s entry is drawn, an alternate winner will be selected by random drawing. In the event that one household or person’s entry is drawn more than one time, an alternate winner will be selected by random drawing. Judge’s decisions on all matters of the Sweepstakes are final and binding.
  7. Winner will be notified by phone each day in October by noon that day out of all eligible entries. If a winner cannot confirm intention to accept the prize by 3 business days after the initial contact., the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be chosen. Winners, or the parent and/or legal guardian of the winner if under 18 years of age, must supply valid I.D. and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability & Publicity Release (“Affidavit”) prior to receiving a prize. If a winner fails to present valid I.D. and/or complete and return the Affidavit within seven (7) days of receiving the Affidavit that entry will be void and an alternate winner will be randomly drawn.
  8. Prize is non-transferable. Cash redemption, exchange, or substitution is not allowed, except at the sole discretion of North Jersey Media Group Inc. North Jersey Media Group Inc. reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Taxes and/or fees are the sole responsibility of the winners.
  9. Entry constitutes agreement to hold North Jersey Media Group, Bagelicious and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and the officers, directors, employees, owners, and agents of each of the foregoing entities, harmless from and against any and all damages, liability, losses, and expenses arising out, or claimed to be arising out of, this Sweepstakes or acceptance or use of the prize(s).
  10. North Jersey Media Group Inc. reserves the right to terminate, modify, or otherwise change this Sweepstakes, at its sole discretion, should it determine that its fairness has been compromised. North Jersey Media Group Inc.’s decisions on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes are final. Any tampering with the online entry method in any manner is prohibited. NJMG reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine whether the online entry method has been compromised. NJMG reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who the sponsor suspects or has found, in its sole discretion, to have tampered with the Sweepstakes or submitted entries using any automated means. In the event NJMG determines the online entry service has been misused, the Sweepstakes will end. If NJMG determines, in its sole discretion, that technical difficulties or unforeseen events outside NJMG’s control compromise the integrity or viability of the Sweepstakes, NJMG reserves the right to void the entries at issue and/or terminate the Sweepstakes. NJMG’s decisions on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes are final.
  11. Sweepstakes subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where taxed, restricted, or prohibited by law.
  12. By claiming a prize, winners consent to publication of their names, likeness, hometown, and prize allocation in The Record. For a list of all prize winners, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Gift Card Grab Bag Winners, c/o Marketing Department, 1 Garret Mountain Plaza, PO Box 471, Woodland Park, NJ 07424. Requests must be received by April 30, 2012.
  13. Entry constitutes agreement to be bound by all of the foregoing rules and terms, and also constitutes permission to use the winner’s name and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes, without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
